Sony DSC-P50 Cybershot Digital Camera

Anne was heading off to the Bahamas for a week, and her old film camera was not working well. It was time to move her to the digital age, so I went out for a new camera. I looked briefly at other brands, but came back to the Sony. It's a lazy decision. I've owned a P50 and now use a P92 myself. I've got plenty of memory sticks and memory card readers, and a Hewlett-Packard printer that takes the memory cards, and all the Linux boxes set up to work with the Sony cameras, so I've already got time and energy invested in Sony. So realistically, it was going to be another Sony camera, and the model depended on price and features. Mostly price. I settled on the Sony DSC-P52. It was about $250. For that, I got a small, neat, compact camera.
